What is MCP access in a data room?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is a standard way for an AI assistant to connect to a system and read from it under permission. In a data room it means a model can answer questions about the documents in place, rather than a person exporting files to a chat window where the controls no longer apply.
Which data rooms support MCP today?

Is agent access safe for confidential diligence?
It is safe when three things hold: access is read only unless raised deliberately, every call lands in the same audit trail as a human view, and the token can be revoked in one action. Ask the vendor to show all three before connecting an assistant to a live room.
